First I thought Koi No Yokan schooled this but now I'm not sure. This album is more experimental and has more mature song writing and riffs. But koi no yokan has more heart. It's close

Rubicon saves this album completely deflating at the end tbh.

KNY is so much better than this in every way. I'd even say KNY is more mature lyrically and as you said, it's a lot more heartfelt.

and it's easy to complain about the mixing/production on this but it was done by the same dude as KNY, which is kind of odd

only thing different in that field is the mastering, which was done by Howie Weinberg this time around (not exactly a red flag though)

The ending of Acid Hologram transitioning into Doomed User is one of my favourite moments here.

Not really a good sign if a transition is a favourite moment, is it? :P

Well the transition between Optimistic and In Limbo was possibly the best moment on Kid A and that is considered one of the best albums of all time

Acid Hologram, Hearts/Wires, Pittura Infamante, (L)MIRL, Gore and Rubicon are all top tier Deftones songs, still don't really get the hate.

I think this is the kind of record that won't exactly attract new fans or win over people who aren't really into Deftones, but if you've liked everything from them so far you'll still find this really solid.

That's a negative, Ghost Rider.
