originally they were edgy satanists and their drummer knifed a gay man, but I don't believe the rest of the band ever got into trouble sans still palling around with Faust tho. as far as safe/sus goes they're probably leaning more safe-ish as far as anyone cares.

well hellhammer's like an edgy racist I think, but outside of him i think mayhem are, bizarrely, not total shitcans yeah lol. necrobUUtcher has probably said something dumb at some point but I'm not aware of it and I'm not gonna check regardless. :--)
