It also happens to be Paul McCartney's favourite Radiohead moment - can't argue with that.

Treefingers was the last song that grew on me on this album and it was the most rewarding. Besides Everything in Its Right Place, Idioteque, and Morning Bell.

Now I like it a little bit less tbh.

About Treefingers. I like it but I don't see it as a song. It's more of an interlude imo. The album wouldn't be the same without it because it makes the overall mood of the album even creepier. That's why I love it.
I feel the same way about the first few seconds of Everything in its right place. It's so eerie...

also, what is the general opinion of the best song on the album? is it how to disappear completely or everything in its right place?

How to Disappear Completely imo.

Honorary mention to the interlude 2/3rds into the title track, where the drums fade away and the strings and that creep ondes martenot riff comes in. Love that shit.

My personal fav is How To Disappear Completely, that song just destroys me - but I can imagine the vote would be split pretty evenly between Everything/National Anthem/HTDC/Idioteque/MPS

I'm probably in the minority here, but I think the title track is the weakest on the album.
