they're the only ones that actually sound like BMTH. also, the vocals remind me of The Bled

new album is chock full o animal metaphors. rats, sharks, eagles, wolves, snakes... come one doe,
saying sempiternal doesn't sound like bmth at all is ludicrous. it's really nothing special, just a
more polished sound for them with a bunch of pesudo-epic lyrics that try too hard to be profound

while I do enjoy Sempiternal, given its consistency and the fact that nearly all the songs are good, I still think There is a Hell has a bit of an edge over it, simply because of the standout tracks on it. songs like It Never Ends, Crucify Me and Blessed with a Curse are still among the best songs they've written.
the new album will probably be a 4 for me. I love how I can listen to the album without skipping a track but I wish they had at least one standout track.

@Innocent: I agree with this although I think 'and the snakes start to sing' is definitely a standout track. There Is A Hell has some better songs, but Sempiternal is more consistent.

Ok, never thought I'd say it. But BMTH made an awesome album.
There you go.

"because bmth has always been known for their ambient mixture of post-rock influences with oli sykes clean vocals."
dude you have to be joking right now. since suicide season they've been attempting to incorporate more clean vocals and "post-rock" influences (unsuccessfully, might i add). the new album is a completely logical and predictable progression from songs like "it never ends." i really don't see why anybody should be the least bit surprised by this so-called "reinvention" of their sound.

Who leaked it?
dude you have to be joking right now.
Um, yeah, even I got the sarcasm in that comment

Album Rating: 2.5
i know he's being sarcastic but his point is that the clean vocals and post-rock elements (i feel so
stupid saying that about a bmth album) are a sonic departure for the band

new album is pretty great. they have progressed even more than i thought they would. can you feel my heart, and the snakes start to sing, and hospital for souls are incredible. the rest of the songs range from great to average, excluding antivist which was below average

Does Blessed With A Curse from this album seems pretty DSHS influenced to anybody else?

The chorus to Go To Hell for Heaven's sake reminds me so much of Linkin Park.
