I remember when I first discovered black metal I tried to listen to this album and couldn't hear any distinguishing features other than white noise. Many years later and this is so crisp and clear. Oh, how times change :')

Too many black metal fans try to convince me the more compressed and unlistenable it is, the better it is. I could probably show them a phone recording of a janky washing machine on its last leg working with a faint drum beat in the background and they'd hail it as a 4.5/5.
