in the book basically
pigs - smartest animals who take over the farm and make the other animals do their work while they push their propaganda and take all the luxury and riches for themselves
dogs - vicious guards and fiercely loyal to the pigs, enforcers
sheep - no fucking clue what's going on
there is other stuff too like horses etc who bust their balls for no reward etc but yeah for sure waters must have been inspired by it (though his dogs are different)

Yeah bro, I would've liked him to sing all of Dogs and maybe Pigs (Three Different Ones) but I can't imagine him singing on Sheep or Pigs on the Wing 1 and 2 cos Roger suits them pretty well.

I agree that Roger's vocalst are perfect for the music here; you can tell he really believes in all the shit he's talking about by the emotion he puts into the words, especially at the beginning of Sheep

This album has Waters' best vocal perfromance imo.

Nowhere close to Gilmour, Wright or even Barrett even when they're not at the top of their game, but
yeah he still did great on this.

The emotion in Wright's vocals > the emotion in Roger's.

which songs did Wright sing on anyways? I'm no noob to PF but I've always had a hard time distinguishing Wright's vocals from Gilmours.
|

Personally I think Waters has more emotion in his voice than Wright.

"which songs did Wright sing on anyways? I'm no noob to PF but I've always had a hard time distinguishing Wright's vocals from Gilmours."
Wright has a much deeper and more melancholy voice than Gilmour. Listen to Time; the vocals in the verses, like "Kicking away the moments that make up a dull day" are Gilmour and the choruses, like "Every year is getting shorter..." are Wright. He sung on one or two tracks from pretty much every album from Piper to Dark Side and then one of the Division Bell, cbf to list them all.
"Personally I think Waters has more emotion in his voice than Wright."
Waters definitely brings the anger, yeah, but Wright's voice generates sadness better than basically anyone else I have ever heard.

agreed when wright sings every year is getting shorter I get depressed as fuck

Yeah Time is depressing as all hell but it's still an amazing song, most of Wright's are.

Time is actually not depressing to me at all. I think there are a few different ways to look at the lyrics and the album as a whole. The whole album is really soothing to me actually
that being said, Time is prob my fav song

Yeah Time is the best song off the album IMO, but I dunno I don't see how you could view the lyrics as anything other than depressing, I'm pretty sure that's the way they were written.

time is a rollercoaster for me like it simultaneously drills my own impending doom into me while making me jizz from the ears
that fuckin guitar solo
