The difference is this production works in favour of the album. It's meaty (which most over produced albums don't have), atmospheric etc. it's not a glossy sheen

yeah i'm not saying it sounds bad, it's overproduced in a good way if that makes sense, but i still
prefer music to sound a tad more organic. i just think it's strange that this band gets a pass on here
for a lot of things that the community loves to shit on (chugs, breakdowns, overproduction, clean
choruses, etc.) like i said i still enjoy the album, i just don't think it's quite as amazing as this
site makes it out to be.

There's like one or two clean choruss? They hardly use it as a formula. And the breakdowns are woven tightly with intricate, Atmosphere inducing guitar work. It's not like the site shits on certain things indiscriminately. If its done well, or it works the it's fine. It's when it's used to cover a lack of creativity that it's an issue

Not even that many chug breakdowns and when they use them they work (labyrinthian)
