"Okay wait I think you might have me confused with someone else here. I'm not on any other sites and I've never been banned on Sputnik."

what can i say hawks, my patience grows thin sometimes when i see this kind of drivel

So anyway, this album really can't be the definitive black metal album for me because of the vocal style. Attila's vocals can hardly be considered representative of black metal vocals, as brilliant as they are.

why can't we all just be friends

Attila is amazing though bro. Why can't it be the definitive album just because of the vox?

"why can't we all just be friends"
because some people on the internet need to be special snowflakes who are too cultured and intellectual and trve to admit that maybe those cult classics that have been around for 25 years are actually good and the metal scene that has been around two or three times as long as them knows what it's talking about

Honestly, the title track might be my fav song on the album

Freezing Moon has always been my fav here, but they're all essential.

Because, as I said above, his vocal style is completely unique. It's not a typical black metal vocal style, and so naturally his vocals are going to turn some people away from the album.

i love you guys for what it's worth
anyway; should probably have this higher than 3.5 but burnt myself out on it

"Because parksungjoon insists that in every thread he sees me say something good/bad about an album he loves/hates"
i like how u make this about me when it's more like you versus almost every metalhead who has ever heard those, many of whom know more than you do about this, but ok
also just for the record i would do the same to a lot of other users here but they're too young and 4chan-y (as in lol im 16 and 4chan is the best site ive ever been to, fuck you kill yourself autist etc) to bother

People have the right to their own opinions. Just because the metal scene has deemed an album to be good doesn't mean that everyone has to like it.

As ive said before If everyone here suddenly accepted that difference in opinions existed and never bother contending with each others this site would be much more boring

Parks, Snox, and Shadowmire, what're your guys' fav song on the album?
Edit: question also goes to Balls and Ocean
|

that isn't a reason for this to not be the quintessential black metal album.
I just don't really think you can say that an album is "definitive" or "quintessential" when it has an element that's drastically different from the norm.
