i wish people wouldn't rate this relative to sputnik fanboyism and would just rate it relative to victory records/contemporary metal in general... how could people hate on colors when it came from the same house that brought us aiden, emmure, willy control, otep, amber pacific, and bury your dead? i mean give this all the 3.5's in the world, that's cool, but there's no way colors is a 2 if those are all 1's...

And I wholeheartedly agree with you. All of the sudden it became trendy to hate on this and people started giving this 1s saying it was too messy or too pretentious. There's actually a lot of effort and display of amazing musicianship in this album. Hell, give it a 2.5 if this is not your thing, but there's no way you can put Colors in the same category as, say, Brokencyde.
