"Disc 1 >> disc 2 for me"

I mean on first listen I agree but this is really the only double album I've encountered where the disc 2 highlights are about as memorable as the disc 1. If I cut this down it wouldn't be a very significant cut-age tbh

disc 1 is better to me as a whole, but disc 2 has some of my favorite tracks

I mean, Side 2 has :

Where Boys Fear To Tread
Bodies
1979
Tales of a Scorched Earth
Thru the Eyes of Ruby
Stumbleine
X.Y.U.(a grower for me probably)
Beautiful
By Starlight
and Farewell and Goodnight

tbh this is not the kind of album to pick a superior disc to another, they're pretty even which is only a testament to how great this is.

It's frustrating when a double album has one disc that's mostly throwaway, feels like such a waste.

Glad it's not the case for this.

It's certainly very consistent for a 2 hour long album though I can probably count on both hands the number of times I've listened to it all the way through.

most double albums are hard for me to get through front to back in one sitting

i have no problem just throwing on Twilight to Starlight on its own merits whenever, they both work pretty well as individual discs

and I'm not sure i get your comment about The Fragile, that probably functions even better as a double-album than this one does

What can I say man? I really enjoyed their sound on Siamese I just felt the album was incredibly spotty imo.

This is gold though. Spinning for a second time right now on my CD copy. Here is no Why is probably one of my favorite Pumpkin songs. That chorus is so awesome and the mid section is incredible.

"Lol if you say you don't like McDonalds then you're a fucking liar. Like seriously shut the fuck up."

I can't believe anyone could like McDonald's. It's disgusting.

Their chips are a'ight and their milkshakes are pretty great, but I wouldn't touch their burgers with a barge pole.

I should probably try checking this again at some point. I did a couple of years back but, a couple of tracks notwithstanding, didn't really gel with it.
