I do that often. It's just because memories come back to me unexpectedly and I get transported back to that specific place in time and all the details are so specific. It's a reflection on the time wasted since then and how I swore things would happen yet they never did. It's a sad reminder that while the time has passed since then, nothing has changed, I'm still the same, and it fucking sucks. So that's why I "remember". It's a yearning for an alternate life where things went differently ever since that point in time.
