Album slaps from front to back. Disorder is kind of a perfect pop song. I remember hearing this when I wasn’t ready for it and it just sounded like nothing. Too little information to feel meaty or “real”. Now I stand in awe of its elegant simplicity.

'Day of the Lords' is such a moody romp. Also I know 'Isolation' is on the other album. But I never thought there'd be a total dance song put out by Isolation..... I got caught up in it. By Joy Division. Despite the name and subject matter. It makes me want to dance with a bunch of people.

That review from 2006 (!) is pretty obtuse. I mean, okay, dude doesn't like it. Don't review it, then, unless you can manage better insight. Album was hugely inventive, deeply kinetic, often depressing but Sabbath rubbed our noses in depression, too--there can be strength in such confrontation.

definitely. i think i pref this but mostly because I can hear a lot closer of a tie between this and disintegration, it's a bit more balanced in its emotional range and closer is almost too bleak in spots
