I think I can see why this album was brought up in the a7x thread. They both have ridiculous af vocalists.
I made it through two songs, this band depresses me, makes me feel old. Is this how the older generation felt about the bands Iliked when I got into heavier music?

@ wildinferno2010 That seems to be the near universal anti-standout from this record, which I think is interesting. Similar to Are You Feeling Okay? it seems like the lyrics are the more significant focus there while they maintain a really basic and toned down structure with a simple progression. I'd previously mentioned that whether or not that song hits is almost certainly a function of whether or not you can relate to the lyrics.
I think it would have hit much more successfully if it was really stripped away, no effects on his voice, not so much layering, maybe just some piano a la Atlantic on their other record and they let his voice be the focus. The atmosphere would have been more appropriate without all of the electronic elements in my view.
This concludes my thesis on DYWTYLM.

Loads of people here debating whether its "good" or not.
If you subscribe to that group mentality, you are the sheep.
Its music, enjoy it or not. Don't forget it.

"Its music, enjoy it or not. Don't forget it."
I'll take "not" for $1000, alex.
(also not enjoying it means you think it is bad)
