Yeah I don't think my mum was particularly enamoured with the vox either, she listens to music with death growls but sometimes she finds it unnecessary & I'm sure she mentioned that in relation to this album. Although on this release I like the vox it's generally a point of view I can understand, especially when it's constant & detracts from the instrumentals.
I think there's a nice balance here because they're used at the right moments, usually during the heavier, climactic parts.

agreed art, jammed battle of mice, made out of babies and her solo album and they were all cool to differing degrees. Nothing comes close to the brilliance of mariner tho, both instrumentally and vocally.
