I def agree with botb
The flow here is pretty whack. The first five tracks are fine but the t/t just destroys the albums momentum. It's not bad or anything (at least in my opinion), but it definitely doesn't sit right in the track listing. And reptilian is not closer material.
Still, and I said this in another thread, I really think Single Tear, Arkhipov Calm, Pain, and Wildlife are among their top tracks. Murk & Marrow is divisive as fuck but I love that song too.

Half-baked new ideas, rehashed ideas, a couple ventures into slower sludge-esque heavy metal that both fall flat on their faces, only thing truly interesting here is jacob making an earnest effort at clean singing which is commendable but the songs featuring said vocals are a mixed bag

I agree for sure, jacob is the clear standout on this. There's still some really enjoyable tunes like broken by light and eye of the quarrel but most of this album is worth skipping
