"Y'all actually find that song memorable?"

One of the top 3 songs on this album for me. Honestly, the only song that I've never liked much is Jump in the Fire. Kind of a dull riff, and the bouncy drumming sounds a bit silly

Still a damn good song, don't get me wrong. It's really just death by comparison in this case

Motor breath is awesome... This is a tough album to rank but there's no way it's in the bottom half

I will say though, this thread really makes me want to jam the album again. I think I'll do so tonight \m/

Do it remaster got a lot of clarity. The energy is still undeniable though.

Never liked the pure 3-minute "ragers" as much, feels less substantive for me. hit the lights is iconic enough to not be down there.

Whiplash is easily the best here, at least for me. It is the epitome of classic thrash metal.

"Four Horsemen" and "Seek & Destroy" are the two takeaway tracks for me, two of the best metal songs ever written. Maybe "No Remorse" too. Whole album is excellent.

Ride, master, and justice are better your stating the obvious. Black album.... It's good but weakest of the first 5. There's been times when I've preferred it to this but end of the day this just has the agression and speed-rawness that the black album lacks. It's a bit to Polished for its own good. You just don't like this as much as you should which is fine I guess lol

Personally, I'd put their first four albums and Death Magnetic all above the black album

Same. Death Magnetic deserves more attention within their discography. Easily their best after AJFA.
