Credence is probably the only song here i don't really like to listen to anymore. Musically, its alright but the lyrics are so cringe lol

Thankfully I never read them. Lyrics are a general Opeth hazard.
If you asked me what my fave Opeth lyrics are I honestly couldn't answer you. But probably something about the devil.

Do any of you have favorite Opeth lyrics?

I like a few of their lyrics from their latest album:
Någon dör och någon skapas
Och ingen tror på evigt liv
Hur förklarar man det för ett barn?
Du är älskad, jag är hatad
Du modern, jag primitiv
Hur försvarar man en slentrian?

guess it feels a bit more personal when it's in your own language

I understand Swedish, but it's so cliched?
Also I feel slentrian is what the world needs these days.

Can’t understand a thing in the Swedish version. Proper Scandinavian Hurdy Gurdy Flurdy nonsense. Love it.

Some of their lyrics are cool. Credence sounds like bad poetry written by an angsty 14 year old

I'd say the lyrics I like the most are the story-telling, mood-setting, narrating lyrics of Isolation Years, Death Whispered a Lullaby, and the opening verse of Hope Leaves.
Other than that, I like most lyrics in their abstractness, but it's not poetry or anything. Mike has great gothic/romantic lyrics (I'm referring to the Romantic era, not romantic love) and his own lyrical voice, but you have to be in the mood to appreciate most lyrics.

Really strange album name. Since it is my hearse and he drives it, I guess, I am the owner of a funeral parlour and he is my employee, driving the hearse. Kewl.
