Tubular Bells was awesome...but only because my father listened to it, not by my choice.
And Ega...I'm allow to doubt...but I also gave the benefit of doubt, which you preferred not to consider in your transcription.

I used Dark Angel's 'Darkness Descends' as an alarm when I was 10. I had some Dimmu Borgir and such on the same phone to offset that with some lame commercial metal. I also had Death's 'The Philosopher.' I really took a liking to Gene Hoglan.

When I was 6 I hated the black album and loved Deep Purple. I always had good taste.

I really think the black album is some of their worst output musically, but purely as an audiophile I really like it. it sounds great.

Yeah the production on that is great. Fairly unique songwriting too... it's just boring compared to the earlier stuff.

Ghandhi has a 'unique' approach to music appraisal. don't take it personally.

nor I, but I heard enough music from outside sources to pick up on Metallica. I had access to a PC early on but all I did was dip my toes into chat rooms and try bad browser games.

Nah I'm just not a big Opeth fan actually. I dont like most of the albums since Still Life.

This is definitely up there. I bought Blackwater Park today for the fuck of it as it was only a couple of quid. But for a relative Opeth noob the personal top 5 for me as it stands is.
1. Heritage
2. Ghost Reveries
3. Morningrise
4. My Arms Your Hearse
5. Orchid
