This album has been a favorite of mine for too long not to be a 5.

Damnit dude I hate that feeling when you want to write but you just don't feel like it at the same time. It's this freakish push-and-pull sensation and it really fucks me up lol

I think the only reason I haven't 5'd this is I'm intimidated by it, it's one of a small handful of albums that can really depress me

True. I listened to it a lot when I was in one of my bouts last year. Haven't listened to it since then. Still love it though.

I guess the PUP thing comes from the general emotions presented? Dream is Over has some existential moments in it but they def give off a different feeling.
Still worth checking ofc

yeah its the emotions and some slight genre crossover and i meant its just presented in a more upbeat format with a guess you'd call it a sarcastic edge?

@Drifter, The Kolya is a great rec if you like the first record, It Never Goes Out, more specifically. The similarities on some tracks are staggering.
|
| |
@Clumseee Did you jam the whole thing? Rate it bro. That's one of my favorite emo albums. That sounds strange that a record from 2011 would sound like that but I'll make sure and give it a go!

I will not read through eighty pages of posts, so just let me say this: I believe that the album is solid, but lacks originality. Listening to it, I had the feeling of already having heard it all, but not in the good sense- like in the most astounding of new releases- but in a rather boring, heavily influenced craftsmanship. Nonetheless, the album is quite good, and I did fairly enjoy it (to the extent one may enjoy this genre). Also, I think that there is an outright Brand New inheritance.
