Dive is the best Nirvana opener but yeah impact wise Teen Spirit is from another planet.

‘Teenage Angst has paid off well now I’m bored and old’
Given the whole context that is one of the greatest opening lines in history.

Kurt’s lyrics were never the greatest but agree with that big time.
And I love that he thinks he’s old. It validates that I feel old even though I’m a couple of years younger than when he died.

I mean I def like Alice and Soundgarden more than Nirvana, but fuck the rest of that sentence lol
Pearl Jam live smokes literally everyone
If you ever saw them live and didn't love every second, you're not human. And not in a cool way like a terminator, more like a lame way like an outdated calculator.

Nirvana > Pearl Jam > AIC > Soundgarden
All legendary though, I even like the next tier of STP and Screaming Trees

Can’t say I’ve ever seen them live (or ever will) but the fact that the last show they played was a setlist containing more covers than individual songs off of any of their records. That’s pathetic.
And Yellow Ledbetter is one of the most annoying songs of the 90’s

I mean all of their covers fucking own, but I never heard of them having a setlist with more covers than original songs and I've been seeing them live for like decades, including downloading most of their shows so that isn't exactly the norm.
"And Yellow Ledbetter is one of the most annoying songs of the 90’s" Ugh, you're great bro but this is a dogshit opinion

ten is better than every nirvana album but nirvana's discog overall is better

I didn’t explain it well lucca, they played more covers than individual songs off of each record. So they played 6 covers, and 3 tracks or less off of each other album. Idk, I’d be pretty annoyed if I payed arena tickets prices and the band plays a shitload of covers. I’m honestly annoyed when bands play 1 cover.
Ghost played their little rendition of Enter Sandman and the second I heard those piano chords I started looking at my phone.

"ten is better than every nirvana album but nirvana's discog overall is better"
Idk man, I think I would put In Utero slightly above this

"I’m honestly annoyed when bands play 1 cover."
yeah same, only exception is if it was recorded and released on an album by the band doing the cover (and is actually good)

@Alex - Yeah, I mean if I saw Cannibal Corpse and they covered The Dave Matthews Band or if saw The Dave Matthews Band and they covered Cannibal Corpse I wouldn't be mad at all
So there are exceptions
