Lol I posted that already dude but yeah. He didn't really have a choice, all the second rounders did Singularity, closest thing to a free track to go nuts on.

Agreed. It really sucks that OG broke up. Heart Museum was a great album.

They haven't announced it but that's what people are speculating. His screams didn't sound terribly impressive although it could have just been the recording. His cleans on the other hand, are outstanding.

eh, it's all but officially confirmed at this point. the dude was posting pictures of him in the
studio with Northlane on his instagram. his cleans are pretty good, but I gotta hear more from his
screams I think. the audition video wasn't enough.

Yeah I feel the same way in general. Northlane seems to believe in him so I'll trust that he can handle it.

Rot isn't bad.
It's not amazing, but then again he isn't Adrian.
I'm seeing them, ABR and Erra on the 4th of Feb though at Bogarts. Hope it's a good show. I've seen ABR twice. They are great.

Every time I listen to Rot it gets better. I think it might be one of their best songs at this point.
|
| |
yeah its really well made
adrian for the most part was piss poor at putting together harmonies except for stuff like quantum flux, Rot has all sorts of variety
|
| |
Adrian vocals were the only thing that made northlane stand out from all the other bands in this genre, the new guy makes them sound super generic.
|
| |
their use of ambient layers along with their recognizable riffage + nics drumming are far more important than andrians okay yells and pseudo intellectual lyrics

They really don't sound generic at all with marcus. He actually has a lot of his own flavor in terms of style and the music is still northlane. A little more creative I'd say actually
|
| |
tracks like transcending dimensions and abrasumente are great, but they sound like complete run of the mill metalcore, theyre really crafting their own image now
|
| |
I think marcus his vocals are good but i really dont hear anything unique or interesting about them.

is a good listen but probably will not go back to it for a while. does not do much for myself musically for me just has good drive and a bit of fun. i am put of this alot by all the breakdown junkies i know trying to play this in my car non stop. when im just trying to enjoy some Guthrie! uh!

This is my go-to-disc for stupid breakdowns after Structures' utter failure in delivering

I doubt these guys will ever top this, especially with their weak ass new vocalist.

I checked out the first couple of songs on this. I thought they ruled, really reminds me of hollow crown. Prob gonna jam this in full soon to get my fix.

Got really into this album. Fantastic musicianship, only thing is at times it's super generic and the pseudo-intellectual lyrics at times kills the vibe.
