his fingerstyle playing speaks for itself but it’s amazing how much detail he can pack into his rhythm guitar too. a lot of guitarists are just trying to play a certain strumming pattern with a certain timing, but he’s so locked in to the details of his playing, and which notes he’s emphasizing at different times that he’s able to create melodies within melodies that it’s hard to even take them in at first without really paying attention
