Still better than their others though, commercial sheen suits some bands.

Screaming Trees too, ‘Dust’ is commercial as anything but their best.

Seeing ‘Superunknown’ performed live and absolutely slay the other bands on the bill (Motörhead, Sabbath and Faith No More) did make me look at the band in a different way. One of the best live guitar sounds I’ve ever heard.

Dust is the bollocks. Haven’t listened to that in years.

Been listening to them all this week - anything I would have played the summer of ‘96 has been on repeat

This is one of those albums where I both understand the mass praise/neutrality against it.

I was the latter for a while but then I realised the actual weight this album holds.

It’s dreary, confused and draining all at the same time.

The atmosphere that Cornell manages to create with his dissonant chord progressions and lyrics is unmatched.

At least that’s the way I see it, this was (and still is) an album that both manages to exhilarate and deflate in equal measure like no other.

Yee, this isn’t for everyone, I get it. But for those that it clicks with, it’s on a spiritual level

100% school, unhinged in the most presentable way possible.

Yup Dust is amazing. Got lost in the shuffle but deserved more attention than it received.

Album title is deceiving. This happens to be quite well known thank you.

Adding super actually changes it to the opposite though. Superunknown means well known. It’s kinda like how extraordinary is ordinary with extra in front of it. Logically, it should mean more ordinary than before, but in actuality, it means basically the opposite of ordinary.

This has always been a tad too corporate for my liking. Fucking amazing opener though.

You like sucking Ian Mackaye's dick? good for you, because we don't fucking care. (nothing against Ian though, I love him)
