Cliff wasn’t perfect, but there was a feel to it that outweighed his bum notes.

yea I just ended up picking on it super hard cuz the vibe was set until those notes soured and I was already drunk/high beyond then

I was just high. If I added drunk then the whole set would’ve flew by in half the time they actually played for me, hahaha. Watching this again, I came to the realization that I missed hearing that rhythm section again (Harris and Caxide).

I went back and listened to Live VI just now...and, yeah, maybe that WOULD be the definitive live version afterall, lol...at least as far as a "high-fidelity" official audio recording of the track goes. Turner's cleans were fantastic on Live VI. His statement of no longer being interested in singing clean vocals in the "normal/conventional" way holds true after I re-watch the Celestial set a few days removed from the show, but FWIW, those clean vocals sounded nice 8 years later.

I bought Oceanic, Panopticon and In the Absence a bit ago but actually still haven’t spun them. Gonna get on that soon.

I promise I’m not stalking you, Larkin, but please update with your thoughts after because your fresh perspective intrigues me

Oh no doubt man, you don’t have to worry about that. The first thing that comes to mind once I form an opinion is to come rate and share my impression.

But again, might be a minute. Gotta finish Thrice, then I got Brand New, a few mewithoutyou albums then Isis.

Speaking of Isis, I absolutely love Palms. A 4.5 album for me.
