nah those nasty resonant freqs from st. anger are still there, just buried more. and the clipping makes this completely unlistenable. i have no fucking idea how NO ONE seemed to notice how horrible it sounded. this is like the easiest fucking thing to fix and for one of the most popular bands in the world to release it like this, what the fuck were they thinking?

um yeah, look at the crest factor vs. death magnetic. even so, when i say clipped i mean audible distortion, nowadays you can get up to around dr5/dr6 using a soft limiter without audible distortion. and the perceived loudness varies anyway based on the source material
