im just of the opinion that the whole "death of western/european values" discussion is being overplayed, overexaggerated and rests on some faulty assumptions (eg that a lot of our cultural assumptions values and ideologies really are super important)
still, it would be unfair of me to slag this book of without reading it. but having read the synopsis it just does seem like hes saying what countless others have been saying that i already disagree with. so i doubt ill pick it up

People can too ingrained in their traditional values & that creates a lot of individuals who lack a true voice/opinion anyway, as it's just mob mentality. The separation from these values (at least to an extent) can be positive, especially when adapting to the changing world around you & the integration of new communities.
