How are we feeling about it fam? When an album that I'm REALLY looking forward to drops I sometimes wait a day or 2 to see what people are saying about it to crank the hype even more. Haven is definitely the song I'm most curious about

its a creepier/moodier vibe id say and arguably heavier

as much as i hate to say it i think eternal blue has the better choruses

soft spine and crystal roses turned out to be the weakest songs here, thank fuck for that at least

agreed with joshie, nice early EPs callbacks with t/t and Haven

This band is having the Loathe effect on me where the all-out heavy songs don't really do anything for me whereas the melodic stuff is straight yeeting my ass to heaven. Title track might just be peak this band. Overall on first listen I'm not as sold on it as I was with Eternal Blue but I'm excited to keep spinning it to see if that changes at all.

haven't jammed yet but I'm confident that opinions will evolve over time. It's only been around for a few hours

Yeah Crystal Roses misses the mark. Fata Morgana goes hard. Gonna jam all day today for sure.

dang didn't expect to dig the new alb as much as i do. i don't care for heavy spiritbox at all but some of the heavier tracks are actually p good and their usual pop metal stuff is fun as always. agree with fatality that the choruses collectively aren't as good as their past stuff but the moodier & more """experimental""" (loosely) vibe makes the heavier stuff much better

soft spine is weakest [2]

it's funny the band was clutching its pearls over Crystal Roses leaking slightly early yet nobody seems to like that song anyway

They def tried new stuff this time. Gonna need some more listens to give a full assessment. I dig the moodier/darker vibes, but some of the vocal choices don’t seem to land for me (yet)

Haven is far and away the best for me. Throw back SB

Crystal Roses wouldn’t be nearly as bad if they didn’t put all the shitty vocal effects on it. What a terrible stylistic choice lol

Keep Sweet is a BANGER

Pretty solid sophomore release, definitely darker/moodier than this but less hooky. About what I expected, these guys just can't seem to reach that 4+ for me though unfortunately.
