Minutes to Midnight and Living Things kicked the shit out of this in almost every way possible.

sorry snide gonna have to disagree with ya there. Living things was a awful record imo, just really uneventful and not as innovative as I think they thought it was. And when they tried to make it heavy but in an electronic way rather than a nu-metal/rock way it just didn't sound good. Minutes to Midnight was a solid record but did seem like a bit of a identity crisis for the band and lacked direction (despite being a solid record). Id say A Thousand Sons holds its own with this record.

Living Things is my pet hate I suppose when it comes to linkin park, something about it just rubs me the wrong way. Castle of Glass is a lovely song though
