Oh I just tried something like that with Spectral Lore's Veiled Garden in the headphones.
It is the proper way to listen to music.

"discussing a topic like that with someone called AdolfChrist on a Deathspell Omega thread is not a desirable point to be in life"

Christ (don't care which one), I had no idea people would misinterpret it to >that< degree. It meant as a joke.

Jesus, good luck. They layer the drums on the albums in a way where it'd be very very hard or even impossible to play some of this stuff.

There are drum layers? Where? They never really stood out to me if so. But the album has so many other layers that I could have easily missed them. Just sounded like some powerful and technical, but still playable parts.

I never heard drum layers, but the guitars are layered in such a strange way at times.

"They layer the drums on the albums in a way where it'd be very very hard or even impossible to play some of this stuff."
where did you get that from? I mean I've never thought about it, it sounds like it's all playable in one take, but yea there could definitely be layered parts on this
all these years and we still don't know who the drummer is, for some reason I'd feel much better if I knew the guy's identity lol

Just pretend it's Harald V, king of Norway.

I disagree, I find the mysteriousness and anonymity (for the most part..) makes the music be it's own thing. Almost like it's coming from somewhere else and not from human beings which adds a lot to this band's aesthetic and power.

I disagree, pretending it's the Norwegian king adds a lot to this band's trve occult image.
