yeah idk i'm probably gonna lower my rating for the 3 godspeed albs i have 5'd because the fact that they took it off spotify and will likely never put it back on just kind of killed it for me with this band



i feel similarly to how I was barred entry from Thursday's Full Collpase show because the band decided last second that they wanted to require facemasks and vax cards for their show (iirc Covid was pretty much over). Now Full Collapse just doesn't hit like it used to because I have a shit memory attatched to it.

seems like silly reasoning to me, even if I understand the inconvenience & will rarely listen to this band now (simply because they aren't important enough to me these days). If they ARE essential to you (presumably so seeing the 5) then I don't understand not putting in a tiny bit of extra effort to work around the issue.

I have Xiu Xiu's debut 5d and have admittedly not heard it since they removed all their albums from Spotify (despite having the CD lol)... so yeah, convenience and laziness etc. but lowering your rating because of that or a shit 'memory', seems quite frankly bizarre to me. You do you I guess.

They’re on bandcamp for free, but you can also support them by buying this album. I do use spotify, but try to move to bandcamp as much as possible. Then I can download in case the internet disappears and everyone goes insane.
