Definitely buying tickets to that show and figuring out how I'm going to get there/afford an out of state trip later

Unfortunately, I can't afford an out of state trip for the one-off reunion. It guts me, but ultimately I can die happy knowing that Isis did indeed reunite in some capacity even if it's for only one performance.

I’d do anything to listen to From Sinking for the first time again. Hands down Oceanic’s best track along with The Beginning and the End.

The ending of From Sinking hits the spot every time, but yea, Weight is just the best thing ever

"I’d do anything to listen to From Sinking for the first time again. Hands down Oceanic’s best track along with The Beginning and the End."
I'd do anything to listen to the entire band's discography for the first time again, hahaha. That feeling of how I felt when it happened hasn't left me entirely but now it just lives in the memory.

Well, I didn’t like this band when I first heard them. I was young and ignorant.

Yeah it took me sometime to absorb all the stuff they had to offer, I remember when I first listened to Isis, the first album was Panopticon and I enjoyed it but wasn't blown away like I am when I listen to it now.
Also, there's that feeling about there being another album I've never heard from this really kickass band I've found recently, yknow..

When I first listened to the band, it was all done in chronological order. In early 2014, I bought a copy of the remastered Celestial on CD without ever hearing the music or knowing any context for the band's sound/genre at a now closed record store with the caveat being that if I didn't buy it right then and there, I might forget about this band and/or may never even see the record store in question again (I didn't).
Anyway, I liked Celestial on first listen, but it was on the next two listens where I began to make sense of it. Then shortly afterwards, I moved onto Oceanic and it was much more immediate on the first listen and loved it more than Celestial It was my first play through of Panopticon however where I made the somewhat premature statement of declaring Isis as one of my favorite bands ever, and Panopticon being one of my favorite albums ever on account that I thought it was such a pantheon of an album even on the first listen.

This album was the first I listened to by these guys. It's still my favourite today.
I used to think Panopticon was second best, but now Absence has overtaken it.
I'd say this > Absence > Panopticon > Celestial > WR

Tbh i can't really get into half the tracks on here (The Other, False Light, From Sinking, Hym only gets interesting about halfway through). The other half i absolutely love. Panopticon on the other hand is flawless for me
