I know you have some interesting opinions Ars, but placing San Tropez and Seamus, two of the absolute worst Floyd songs ever, above Echoes which is arguably their best seems completely ludicrous.

Like, that guitar lead in the climax of Echoes is one of the most perception shattering moments ever, and then you've just got Seamus and San Tropez plodding along.

Nah. Not all songs need the epic feel to be awesome. I love the piano solo in "San Tropez" and Water's vocals.
"Seamus" is just relaxing in a good way.
In my opinion all 6 songs are cool as hell. "A Pillow of Winds" is slightly forgettable, that's about it.

@avon: well yeah, Animals and WYWH are easily better, and maybe TDSotM as well (I need to jam it a couple more times and see if On the Run grows on me).
But I still think Piper was awesome for what it was.
@Ars: One of These Days might be my 2nd fave on this, behind Echoes. It just works remarkably well as an opener. Need to jam this a bit more later ofc, and see if that affects my opinion.

It's kind of embarrassing someone who can write lyrics like those on Dark Side, WYWH, Animals, The Final Cut, take your pick, tried to write something like San Tropez
