Pretty perfect set list for me apart from Poison Eggs for the old old schoolers but hey I didnt expect Celestail. Hope they do one more show for Roadburn,

That show was indeed magical. They sounded absolutely insane, and had so much energy.

I'd love to see that too. Was standing on Gallagher's side, the sound of his melodies was so clean. Dude had so much energy, a few of the heavier parts he would be strumming over his head.

I believe i read one of the conditions for ten coming together for this show was an understanding that this was it. no new touring or shows otherwise, no new music. I guess you never know what will happen when you’re back on stage but I don’t think we’ll ever see this band again

they literally began the show with Aaron in the opening video saying they came together for that special event and that’d be that

Honestly...after that performance, I wouldn't feel remotely sad if that was the final and definite closure for the band because that was one of the band's finest performances ever and I account for all of the live recordings of them that exists (bootleg or Live I-VII). That was possibly the definitive performance of So Did We.
I think a wonderful nod to Caleb would be to release both the Boston and LA shows on a BluRay/DVD or at least in case of the Celestial set, be released as Live VIII (perhaps a double CD along with the final show in Montreal from 2010) with all proceeds going to the Scofield family.

Really cool that they did that. An official release of the show would be sweet.

“idk about definitive lol the solo was a bit sloppy”
It isn’t any more or less sloppy than Turner’s Keiji Haino shred worshipping in SUMAC though, lol!

there's sloppy slop made on 'artistic' purpose, and there's soloing in a key hitting wrong notes

Haha these guys haven't played a show together in 8 years! They're not gonna be perfect.
