I like the raspiness of his voice on TVSOR, like I said with it being recorded the way it was there's a certain charm to the vocals.

Listened to this from the 2018 remaster, sounds quite good but the mix is a bit iffy. Thicc record though. The switch from DEI to this is so massive actually. How fucking wild would this record be if you listened to it in 1998...
It's so fucking funny how the breakdown of 'Corridor of Chameleons' is still being used today in all kinds of djenty core lol

It's amazing how modern this sounds. Hard to believe it came out in '98.

Oh yeah that's quite the adventure, changing ratings of reviewed albums on mobile. I always do that through the review page, on the "User ratings" page, all the way at the bottom. Less fiddly but still iffy.

Dont get the comments about this one being slept on. Its literally one of their most popular and acclaimed albums pretty much everywhere lol
|
| |
Definitely but i feel like esp around the site it just doesn’t get the praise in the same way that albums like Obzen, Nothing, and DEI do

I can see it on here yeah. But i mean just in general other than obzen and dei this is prob their signature album overall truthfully. You hear about and see more acclaim for this one more so than nothing and catch 33 even. this was kinda the album that really put them on the map dei started it then this came out and it was a further step up when it came out back in the day. Nmcc is the track that made ppl take notice of them

Nice comments feedback, very interesting, right up there.
For me, Chaosphere is the first Meshuggah in a series of LPs that has been growing on me in 2022. Of course, full, couples of spin, revisit was mandatory to achieve it.
It paid off, for this LP/Koloss/DEI/CC. This growing feature is one of many quality that Meshuggah output creativity, does. Absolutely love it when it happens, one of the pleasant aspect of music art. Cheers!

Very true FR33, it's so nice when after years of casual listening something finally clicks. Or when an album creeps up on you, slowly but surely going all the way to the top. A powerful feeling! And what a band to have that happen with 💚
