Just want to add:

"he makes music for respect now, not money"

And people respected him more back in his MMLP/Eminem Show days basically because of what the two people above have said.

Man is a wash out. But I'm praying to god this is at least average. Recovery was apparently "back to form" but it was a pile of dogshit.

Both new songs are alright. IF the album follows that pattern then new one is a solid 2.5.

Apparently people are sayin the new one won't leak at all. Not even any tracklist info till it's out.

God knows how that will turn out.

That's why the content of Relapse was so serious, right? Proof died in 2006, if it really had a genuine effect on Em's rapping, why did it just skip over that album?

Relapse wasn't particularly not-serious, it had that song Beautiful on it which was super serious. His first two albums were mostly him killing his mom or girlfriend and taking drugs - even though he said he didn't do any drugs at that point. It was the epitome if immaturity.

It's so fucking obvious that all 77 minutes of Recovery's seriousness aren't genuine that I'm not going to bother explaining it if you can't see it..

Lol. Sorry I actually never bothered to listen to that entire CD. You could be right, I'm not saying hes great now, hes mediocre, but the one good part about it is he is not as immature as he was in his Slim Shady LP/ MMLP

[quote] And people respected him more back in his MMLP/Eminem Show days basically because of what the two people above have said.

He has way more respect from Hip Hop legends / old school emcees now, before he just had the "respect" of a ton of ignorant kid who were just starting to listen to rap for the first time.
