it's so baffling that bring me the horizon of all bands have been turned into defied musical geniuses who can do no wrong by children

yeah but this charge is being led by gen z kids off the back of amo and post human, not people who grew up with this. i just can't comprehend it.

like any other formerly metal band releases something like amo, it's getting widely mocked and torn to shreds

Yeah I’ve never understood it either man, they’re so unremarkable throughout their discography, I just don’t get the appeal. I definitely banged the first two LPs in my teens tho

It makes sense to me, they were the essence of a Scene Band with fanatical fans not made of genre lifers, no particular foundation in metal that would produce enormous backlash as they steadily phased out of deathcore/metalcore into alt rock/pop over the course of albums. It was a steady enough evolution even though it sucks.

I don't mind amo, but I won't deny how damn happy I am that this level of heaviness is finally back in their music.
Never thought I'd see the day.

Maybe they just made songs that people liked and put on a good show ya fuckin nerds.

Band has basically always been good they just got pigeonholed as a scene band for teenyboppers

i'm meaning more like the critical adoration and that they can do no wrong. spirit, amo and post-human are far from perfect, or even good lol. i agree their first 4 hold up.

Yeah I know what you mean. There's kind of a weird internet phenomenon with these guys. When this came out everyone shit on it but now that they are reduxing it people are like "oh yeah this was the shittt"
They've always had a strange reputation in general. Some point to them as a cornerstone of modern core and others absolutely despise them.

I enjoyed some of Suicide Season and whichever album had ir never ends, and a passing interest in songs like doom, but that's it.
Like I said earlier, this shit rips...

It’s so average I don’t understand why people are flipping over it but more power to ya
Yeah I’ve never understood it either man, they’re so unremarkable throughout their discography, I just don’t get the appeal. I definitely banged the first two LPs in my teens tho
yeah it's heavy and all but we have projects and bands that have long since surpassed this sound like Darko which is probably the most ambitious and genre pushing sound this genre could ever hope for lol
