It's just how insanely Dragonforce-y that hook feels to me. I feel like it wouldn't be out of place as an alternate hook melody on something like Through the Fire and Flames.

aight time to spend 5,000 hours perusing classic power, speed, and neoclassical metal (genres i know i have to be in a specific mood to enjoy to begin with) to better "understand" how I dislike the cheesiness of one hook on a 72 minute long album because it's a jarring tonal switch in a way I don't like.
