Personally I find the BoB edition to be very dynamic (drums and electric guitars especially) and clear. When I heard the electric guitars interweaving at the beginning of Silent Waters I felt like I had never really heard that song the right way before, even though I was very familiar with it. However I bet someone will find it a bit hollow or too thin

bob is notorious for using cd and digital rips for their vinyl. i'd be willing to bet anything that no vinyl pressing, be it displeased, back on black, or spinefarm, of this (or orchid or mayh) was taken from the original masters

The BoB is the only vinyl I heard of this album, I think it's night and day compared to the CD. Can't speak about any other vinyl press though.
By the way, was this ever remastered on CD? I have Eternal Soul Torture but DR values of the main tracks are exactly the same as 1996 copies
