Bound To The Burn leaked and it's every bit as thunderous, massive and epic sounding as I was hoping. I'm a little bit salty about the first three songs on the album (intro excluded) being the singles but other than that is my definite AOTY already judging by these three singles.

That 5/5 is baking real nice in the oven.

Unwavering Vow > Bound To The Burn > Whispers of Your Death

The singles from Eulogy absolutely shit all over the singles from NLTL. Like, "Wings", "Separate Wounds" and "Paradise & Plague" are good shit and even better in the album's full context, but they're puny af compared to these new songs.

Gun to my head I’d prob say track order is my ranking. The lyrics and Brendan’s vocal delivery on whispers is insane. And then that bttb chorus mmmmm

The closer is apparently 5 minutes long; whole record about 34 minutes. Can’t wait to savor every second of this monster in a handful of weeks.

Bound to the Burn goes hard, but I do prefer the live version. Brendan’s cleans had a lot of work done to them on the album.

Hey from Reddit ;) Yeah I do prefer the live version, I'm not sure what's up with the mixing on BTTB? Everything is very distant

Man I feel like the leads in Counterparts songs are getting stale, always the same exact intervals, I can always predict exactly where they're going. Was listening to Difference Between Hell and Home last night and was struck by how much more creative and distinct the guitar parts are on that album. All of their recent stuff has been solid but it's so straight forward. Nothing really jumps out at me.
