Well I have kind of a weird name that I got made fun of for and wanted to give him something more normal, but with a cool background.
Kids are fuckin mean man.

'was gonna say I hope not but then I remembered I basically named my son after a video game character...'
This is just as bad as Snide's anime tattoos
Also how can someone call the vox bad when you have delivery like this:
I charge the void
I’ve found the purpose
Immortalize this life
I will return to the surface

Excellent review. Usually when an album gets this much hype and praise I seem to find it unfounded (to a degree) and I always seem to give it a slightly lower rating than average. I don't even really like thrash or technical metal that much, but holy fucking Hell, this album is quality. For me, this would be a 5, but after a while the vocals do get a bit... Grating... Nonetheless, still easy to listen to the whole way through.

Chiming in after 3 days in the hospital and 2 nights at home. Holy fucking hell having a baby is rough business.
Read through the previous pages and had some laughs. Those name suggestions were quite funny hah!
I've said this on other sites as well: of course it bums me out when people don't like what we do, but I can't change that and just have to let it go. I would urge whoever listened to try again at some point because there is a lot to take in from a first listen. Prog albums tend to be that way, feeling overstuffed and bloated from a first listen. But once all the pieces fall into place on multiple spins, that when you get true, long lasting enjoyment. At least that's how I feel about it, hopefully I'm making sense lol. I'm delirious and a bit out of my mind right now with my new baby girl (names Max if anyone was wondering). Like I said earlier, now that baby is here I'll be posting a lot less. God damn I need sleep haha.

There will always be people that don't like a certain type of music, even if the album is considered a classic. Congrats with the baby.

Songwriting and riffing on here is so superb goddamn. Even the vocals dont bother me, instead they fit pretty well. And im still surprised how many melodies they can fit into one song and it all still feels coherend.

Yeah man, so many change ups but they all work. I see a lot of people like me saying they're not big on thrash/technical music but still love this. It just stays interesting and engaging all the way though.
Also, Max? Fucking perfect.
