I guess I need to branch out more then, haven't really encountered a pop punk band that can hit this hard.

Theres def some Pop Punk bands that go pretty hard. Lifetime are basically Melodic Hardcore yet they were still a very important Pop Punk band of 90s. Debating on what is and isnt Pop Punk is kind of a useless endeavor though in general tbh considering how endlessly broad and vague of a term it is.

Fair enough, yeah. It can get rather nebulous for what it's worth.

Easily in my decade list, and will never leave it no matter how much I refine it.

This forced its way into mine. Resonated too much after a while.

if you can make it through A Bitter Divorce without fighting back tears (even after hearing it 100 times) you're a much stronger person than me

Damn, would have thought any fan of this album would like them. Try their previous album maybe, it’s their best

I keep meaning to actually give Pup a proper go. I sorta peep a few songs, think 'yeah these guys fuckin rule' and then don't check them again for another year
Just been jamming this again. The climax of A Bitter Divorce is still a blindside.

Imo Pup is the best punk band there is right now. Definitely give TDIO a proper spin
