I enjoy every single track so far tbh, will see if it wears off but this is damn consistently strong.

somebody explain this album to me, because I do not get it at all, I read your review Kill, I just do not see it, thought it was completely boring and as ordinary as Rush could ever dream of getting

you obviously disagree Smaug, wasnt terrible, but did nothing for me

what is so great about it, especially knowing their back catalog, this is so unnecessary and moves their legacy nowhere

You show me another band that put something out this good 40 years in to their career. 85 pages of comments wham, you can probably count the negative posts on one or two hands, and for good reason. The songwriting is immense, the lyrics are very profound on certain songs, and the musicianship is tight, especially with the live material of this album. Have you even heard The Garden? Possibly the best swan song ever....

Not knocking your opinion though, just saying you are one of the few. Perhaps it will require a little bit of digestion on your part to enjoy it.

"You show me another band that put something out this good 40 years in to their career".

Motorhead, Black Sabbath, RHCP (although they are only 30 years in), pentagram, Priest, Yes

No, I was worried about the tongue lashing that you were going to give me, but it is just a hard rock album, I do not see Rush at all, alot like their debut IMO, which everybody bashes.just a thought, and don't get upset, but could it be that you are clouded by the name Rush. Not bad, but I was taken back at the sound and song structure, do like the heavyness

No doubt that their live stuff is amazing with the material, they can stretch out alittle on it

I understand it is their swansong

Motorhead's last was underwhelming and average, Black Sabbath should have died a long time ago, same for Judas Priest.

Don't know tbh, I'm quite the rookie where Rush is concerned but this one got me at first listen. Songwriting is great, musicianship is tight and energetic from beginning to end, modern prog at its finest.

Damn those basslines really make me wanna jam my bass again hard...

It might not be pure progressive rock but it def has prog elements, it's more like progressive hard rock. And I call it modern prog as it came out only half a decade ago and this is how I think progressive rock should sound nowadays. Hope this makes any sense at all :]
