You're right, I can't tell you about specific songs because I listened to this once, wanted to shoot myself because it sucks so bad and never jam again....and will never jammed again lmao. This production style just isn't for me.

This is when mainstream metalcore production just sounds really flat to me. The heavy parts leave no impact and the melodic parts are cool in sections (Edge of the Earth) but not enough to save the song. I find this band's vocalists' monotonous also cuz their cadences are similar

You're right about their cadences. I didn't know the band had two vocalists until a year after this album came out, and I know from scouring music sites around 2012 that I wasn't the only one.

I think Terry sounds like both Gus and Barr tbh. There are some parts on Different Animals where I can't tell the difference. Terry and Barr's clean singing is what sounds identical to me. I saw them play Bend live right before they released Happier? and I know they alternate clean vox on that song, but I couldn't tell you who sings what.

Terry can channel the vacuum that is Gus at times but with this and No Sleep, Gus just had the perfect dynamic to the straightforward belts Barr would put out. New album actually tastefully harkens back to that pretty often.

Haven't listened to this thing in probably 10+ years but randomly put it on last week and now I can't stop lol. Wormhole and Edge of the Earth are certified hood classics.
