I don't.
To me, Colors is much more focused than this. Sure there's a lot of wank (it's BtBaM), but the wank in this album sometimes feels more forced and the wank in Colors just flows.

And there are 0 riffs on Colors that last more than 2 seconds.

TGM and TSC have much more flow than Alaska and Colors. Like this review says, the wank in the middle of Swim To The Moon ruins the song, but the album as a whole is less wankish. Colors and Alaska are still quality albums...I just think they're less focused.
I'm inclined to agree with you so much it pains me. Then again we seem to kind of equivocally team up on a lot of impeccably correct opinions.
the wank in Colors just flows.

The only part in TGM that I can totally confirm poor flow is 2:32 in Obfuscation.

Yes.
Also, how do you do that fun little indent other people's quotes thing? I've never learned.

its not that this album is bad, but its that other bands have done this kind of stuff so much better than BTBAM.
there are some good ideas on the album but there are also a lot of mediocre ones.

I see I won't be changing your mind here, so I'm just stating my opinion:
First and foremost, TSC is great. That said, it's not quite consistent since some of the songs feel too forced (i.e. Reaction and Aesthetic). The songwriting in Colors is much more complex and the songs have the same feel to them and thus it flows better as an album (Though Waior might die a bit inside if he reads this.), while going from one song to the next in TSC feels a bit "awkward" for lack of a better term.
The emotion is better in Silent Circus since it's more raw, I'll give you that.

fair enough opinion, but i disagree, i feel the flow of colors is not that great, on individual merit aka each song on there own its not too bad, but when looking at it as a whole song as BTBAM want you to, the flow from one song to another isnt always smooth (prequel to viridian anyone?), plus i feel informal gluttony and prequel are not as strong as say ants and WW. TSC for me all the songs are nearly as strong as each other and the flow from song to song fits perfectly, especially the middle section of the album. I guess we have different opinions on what album is forced haha.

Personally I'm not a huge fan of TSC or Alaska just because I feel BTBAM is at their best on the tracks that employ heaviness and melody (say Selkies or Mordecai) and I don't have much feelings for their more straight heavy songs, so thats why I lean toward Colors as my favorite
