"I used to detest this band"
You like many others probably never actually listened to them and jumped on the hate bandwagon. Glad you have seen the light.

Their shows during this era went crazy, some of the best times of high school me. I know its considered one of their best but There is a Hell kind of lost me w this band

All of their albums feel like transitional records, they haven't retained the same sound for very long. This album had most in common with CYB with some of the fast and intense breakdowns and moods but also teeters into the more opulent sounds found on TiaH and Semp. This Sadness Will Never End could be on TiaH but it wouldnt be on CYB. Alternatively something like Visions could be on SS but I couldn't see it on Sempi. They're very good at appealing to wide swathes of music listeners and have something to offer to somebody but all their music isnt going to appeal to everyone.

Totally get that. Tons of people hated the new album and I thought they did a pretty good job at merging the hyperpop and arena/popcore elements. If it was a bit shorter I'd probably rate it higher and possibly consider it their best

Yeah, they've always had a lot of filler tracks on their albums, especially this one. TiaH or Sempi are probably the most consistent, least filler-y of the bunch so I think that's why those ones in particular are the highest rated of the bunch.
