AB life honestly blows. All their other albums are at least a 4/5 tho

agreed. still enjoy the album tho, and the AB songs always go so hard live, but I usually can never justify playing it over any other of their records

I liked almost every song on Catch better than most of AB but I like Messes of Men less than anything on AB >

on "the sun and the moon" rn and "wolf am I" is the only song I sorta like and even that feels pretty rehash-y to me. wondering about the discog but let's keep it movin and maybe even try not to judge this album prematurely but like

i think messes of men blows everything on ab out of the water by a substantial margin lol. might just be this style ain't yo thang. for what it's worth i heard this album when i was 16 and thought it was garbage and then 10 years later thought it was a masterpiece. def not an immediate album for me

@CORMANO (and anyone else who's in the mwY fangroup on fb), did you see the guy who generated AI art based on choice Aaron lyrics and got folks to guess the source texts? Some wild scenes over there

I need to pop back into that fb group — I saw a couple of AI generated art for them before and that shit was def two lbs of barely and six lbs of buckwheat wild

False. AB Life has more good songs than CFUTF so I hope you think that one blows harder.

In a Sweater Poorly Knit still hits like a sledgehammer. Powerful, beautiful, haunting. Possibly my favorite MWY song, but I also haven’t heard every album yet. I need to fix that.

Julia off Untitled is very much a contender for their best song as well. I don’t know, these guys have so many good songs, but they’re a bit inconsistent. There are too many songs that are just kind of silly and go nowhere. But I really haven’t done a deep dive on to the albums and I haven’t really listened to everything. I’ve heard either. It’s definitely seems like a band that takes time to grow on you.

Julia is actually Aaron’s favorite song of theirs which is p cool. My favorite song of theirs rotates often but I’d say consistently in the running is Fox’s Dream, A Glass can Only, Mexican War Streets, and August 6th
