The solo to Thrones Of Blood is one of the most thrilling in the entire genre, in my opinion. It's just so melodic and sweet sounding, yet absolutely fitting the ripping and vicious nature of the song.

It's an amazing song, for sure. The tempo changes keep it ludicrously interesting. The re-recording of Breeding The Spawn is the best thing here though. If only the production was a little gnarlier, that would be their strongest record imo

I'm glad you enjoy it that much. I personally find the production a little too off-putting, and it makes the songs blend into one for me. The demo versions were more enjoyable.

I really struggle justifying giving any album a 5 to be honest. I feel it has to be really really exceptional to justify it, and nothing Suffo does that to me. Even this album, which I adore, I just find that the tempo changes are a little too predictable, and whilst I like the production I feel that the songs don't really separate very well. I also think that the re-recording of Breeding's title track is the best thing here, which is another feather in that particular album's cap. I will say, however, that nothing from Effigy to this really has a bad song on it, or even an average song. They're all pretty awesome.
