My guitar teacher was showing me this track by Mike Portnoy's band The Winery Dogs and I told him the bass guitar and drum break in the middle of the song reminded me of jazz-fushion death metal, particularly Atheist. I was so stoked to find out he is well acquainted with Atheist's music
