yeah nah I was right

I'd hope that their new album would be darker but the album cover (even though it looks awesome)

wouldn't suggest so

I'll listen again when it's sunny

geogaddi is probably their most inconsistent album imo. it's a fucking beast of an album and i love it to pieces for its atmosphere and production. anyway, the new album leaked?

Not as far as I know

Is there a best time to listen to this? Cos I know with Geogaddi I first listened to it when it was baking hot and sunny and I could feel my face melting and I kinda just slumped into my seat but right now it's murky and overcast and I'm trying and failing to get comfortable enough to revise and it's just not the same

i listened to this a lot one summer. the best setting i found was playing it late at night on long walks, or while enjoying a nice long smoking session

The best setting I've ever listened to this was out in the mountains away from people at night, it was amazing.

in the mountains at night? damn

i conquered some ridiculously tall mountains when i was in bc, but i never listened to this on my journeys. plus being on a mountain at night is just a bad idea unless you're camping out at the base

I don't mean really tall mountains, more like the hill-like mountains with a max elevation of like 3k feet or so. It was on a gated off dirt maintenance road that winded up the mountains, we were hiking and decided to stop and give this album a listen. It was perfect.

Kinda both. It's a two week thing in between leaving college and going to university where we spend one week doing researchy stuff in the savannah and one week doing researchy stuff whilst diving on the coast. So technically we're doing work but it's more to give us an idea of what that kinda stuff is like to do and it should be pretty fun

This is the exact place I'm talking about, not too impressive but it was great nonetheless, lol. http://puu.sh/2YdfH.jpg

dodecahedron: sounds like a pretty great time. now that i think of it, this would be perfect album to listen to in the middle of nowhere with the sky lit up by stars.

fish: sounds like a cool life experience. traveling is pretty much my soul ambition. what is it you're researching?

looks pretty cool. i remember listening to 'since i left you' (album) during my climb and at the top of this beast: https://fbcdn-sphotos-c-a.akamaihd.net/hphotos-ak-prn2/198897_10151021539351009_565527754_n.jpg that's about 5000 feet up already with the final climb to the top being a good 6 hours or so. camera doesn't do it justice tbh

Damn, that sounds cool. We lucked out too, because for like a week prior we had had very strong winds, so the sky was extra clear that night. We just lied on top of a massive granite boulder and listened and looked at the stars and meteors overhead.

Listening to f#a#oo whilst walking in the páramo in the andes is one of the creepiest experiences I've ever had. Felt like I was the list person left alive.
