I think SD had slightly better production.

However, I think that it's safe to say that FOABP had an even worse production.

Again, it's all opinion. I'm not really 100% sure about production on this, so I won't insist on it.

Well I can understand thinking this record is too polished if that's what you mean. But technically the record has a very polished crisp production.

Everyone likes their production to sound different though so yea.

Wilson's production is great most of the time, it's the one thing he's consistently good at.

What exactly is the loudness war? I've heard about it a lot but don't actually know what that is...

That's pretty interesting. Seems like it takes lots of talent to be a producer.

Well I don't really have a preference to a sound. I enjoy both raw and polished music that uses that aspect.

Every PT album up until this had absolutely stellar production

this one is either always really quiet or really loud and it's bothersome

Nothing is really too loud or too soft for me I love how the album sounds.

KILL I was just saying that's how our taste differs. You like lots of bands who just record naturally

and I guess I happen to like lots of bands that perfect their sound.

oh yea i know but an album can be polished without being compressed its 2 diff things, its just the album getting butchered in the mastering process to sound best in ipods and PC speakers, then when you play it on a hifi system it sounds like fuck shit piss
